Appeal to reunite £40k worth of stolen power tools with owners

Have you been the victim of tool theft in the West Midlands, specifically in Sandwell or Walsall?

We’re appealing to anyone who may have had power tools stolen in these areas after officers discovered a huge haul of suspected stolen items following a warrant.

Responding to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked on Cracknall Lane, Wednesbury, on 27 November, an address was searched on the same street.

The teams uncovered a collection of tools inside the address estimated to be worth around £40,000.

One man, aged 28, has since been charged with two counts of handling stolen goods, possession of cannabis, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Magistrates’ Court on 17 March.

A further 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of theft from vehicle. He has since been bailed with conditions as our enquiries continue.

If you have been a victim of theft of tools from your vehicle and believe your stolen goods may be part of this investigation, get in touch with us by calling 101, using the Live Chat option on our website quoting crime number 20/472320/25.

Please provide details including serial numbers or unique markings on your tools to assist us in identifying the seized items.
